Poor Man's Mira

Anyone remember “Mira”, that screen technology from Microsoft where supposedly you should just grab your monitor and walk around the house with it, using it (and a touch screen) to access your PC where-ever you went?

Well, the next best thing is actually sitting with your laptop on the sunny balcony and having a WLAN Remote Desktop session to your “real work” PC inside. Full access to all the little stuff you have tweaked on your day-in-day-out work machine (and not to mention it’s full power), all in 20x30x2 centimeters.

The only downside seems that Clear Type is not supported by Remote Desktop, so you’re back in the 1990s with rough fonts edges.

Oh: and would you step to the side please? You’re blocking the sun.
