Expect the official announcement over the weekend, but the first release version of Hydra 3.0 (in one SKU for Delphi and .NET) is available now in the form of build 3.0.1.541 – as trial and for licensed users.

As always, customers with an active Subscription will automatically find the new product on their MyRO page.

I’d like to thank all of those that participated in the beta program, an the entire team here at RemObjects for their hard work in getting the this first release of what, imho, is one of our most exciting products, out.

Stay tuned for more technical information to come soon. In particular, we have two articles in the works that should appear over the next few days, one (HY09) that gives you an introductory tour into what’s new in this release, including the exciting options for hosting .NET WinForms and Windows Presentation Foundation code in your Delphi applications and an article that will in depth cover the task of taking an existing monolithic application project and turning it into a plugin-based architecture (HY08).

In the mean time, make sure to download the trial, or check out our live Delphi/WPF sample (http://www.remobjects.com/downloads/DelphiWPF.zip) now (.NET 3.0 required!)

That said, please keep in in mind we’ve just begin our journey. Hydra 3.0.1 provides a complete and flexible solution for expanding your Delphi/Win32 applications with .NET code (and much more) now, but we have just scratched the surface of what’s to come.
