Release Candidate builds of RO, DA and NXP4 available for customers
Dear users of RemObjects SDK and Data Abstract,
we’re happy to announce that Release Candidates of all 5 product SKUs are available to all licensed users on the My RemObjects page.
For “Data Abstract 4.0 for Delphi“, “RemObjects SDK 4.0 for .NET” and “NexusDB Pack 4.0”, these are the first non-beta builds being made available, and should provide a preview of what can be expected in the final versions, next week.
For the already released “Data Abstract 4.0 for .NET” and “RemObjects SDK 4.0 for Delphi“, this upcoming new version 4.0.7 will contain a significant numbers of fixes, enhancements and new features.
Please refer to the “What’s New” section in the online help of all products to learn what has changed between the previous version 4.0.5 or 3.0 versions.
Also available as of now is a preview of the free RemObjects Client SDK 4.0 for .NET – a subset of the full SDK that allows you to build client applications for existing RO or SOAP servers.
Trial versions of the RC builds are not available at this time; we will release trial versions next week, together with the release builds of 4.0.7.
As a final note, please be aware that even though these new builds have Release Candidate status and are considered to be stable and usable, these still are pre-release versions, have not gone thru the full QA cycle that the final products will pass, and do have some open and known issues. We do not recommend installing these builds in your production development environment.
Yours,
